Octopus Media is also an events hub which exists to help create meaning in the film world and to make the best out of people in the industry. Our purpose is to share insights into the crafts of the people who work in film and television by staging public events across the UK and beyond.

This will give members in the industry and the public the opportunity to learn first hand from the finest practitioners in the business. Through our seminars we aim to drive standards ever higher, find out and encourage new and emerging talent and inspire industry people.

Our intention is to connect people, give value, spread ideas, foster relationships, report on the latest news in the industry and enhance communication skills.

As one of the official events of the year for the UK China cultural exchange, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and TV assisted us in hosting the conference while introducing selected Chinese film and TV companies including Bona Film Group, Wanda Group and Perfect World Pictures.

The aim of the conference was to foster co productions and lay solid foundations for exploring production and distribution in both countries.
